Hello New York City

Hello New York City
The home of so many
Everything is pretty
And so very busy
In Times Square
I get a little dizzy
From all the lights
And people walking
Ready for their nights
I'll come back for you
As soon as I can
You're who I belong to
Goodbye New York City

I Think of You

I think of you a lot
Though it's not a good thing
For you tied my heart in a knot
With it only being a fling
I think of you sometimes
And it's a little bittersweet
I want to forget your crimes
Since anger can become obsolete
I think of you now and again
And I can't help but miss you
When I don't care for other men
They just don't know what you knew

Like a Doll

You play with me like a doll
You're unconcerned if I fall
For this doll is not porcelain, but plastic
You're just pretending to be enthusiastic
You play with me like I'm fake
As if my life is yours to make
You decide if I am okay
Or if today will be a bad day
And when you see a toy that's new
You'll throw me away from you

Dear You

I hope you won't read this response
But here it is my man of Renaissance.
I've read your letter of what you yearn
And here are my questions in return.
Why are all of your words hidden?
You could have told me but you didn't.
Hasn't that started to worry you?
Maybe it means your feelings are untrue.
What if I can't save that missing part
Or can't fulfill that place in your heart?
What are you really searching for
If you haven't already made me yours?
You can take or leave my advice
So you won't make the same mistake twice.
Find a new strategy and be more bold
Because writing back and forth gets old.
You put us in limbo and I'm so over it,
Not seeing you often makes us seem unfit.
Tell me all of your feelings to my face
And I promise I'll respond with grace.
Though I don't know what I would say,
It will put your mind at peace this way.
